Southern Wisconsin residents should see some light snow Wednesday before wind chills drop to 20 degrees below zero Wednesday.

MILWAUKEE — Southern Wisconsin residents should see some light snow Wednesday before wind chills drop to 20 degrees below zero Wednesday.
"While light snow continues east of Madison, small pockets of heavier snow showers have developed from Markesan, south to Stoughton," the National Weather Service said.
"These showers will move east, with visibility drops to as low as 1 mile expected. A light dusting will remain possible on untreated surfaces."

After the snow, "arctic front winds will increase from the northwest as much colder air gets ushered in. Tonight into Thursday morning temperatures will fall to near zero across much of southern WI with blustery NW gusts of 25-35 mph. Minimum wind chills (-14 to -20) may be dangerous."

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 29. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
