Voting Opens For Coolest Thing Made In Wisconsin Contest 2022

WISCONSIN — Voting is now open to the public to decide the coolest thing made in Wisconsin.

Entering its seventh year, the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest is held by the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. The contest has gained nearly 1 million votes since it began, according to a news release from organizers.

The 2022 contest features items, gizmos, vehicles, food and more created in every corner of the Badger State. In previous years winners have included a rifle, and in one year a Kringle earned the title of coolest thing made in Wisconsin.

The contest is put on as a way to showcase the many "cool" things manufactured in Wisconsin, a news release said.

Voting began Monday and will remain open until Sept. 27. After that, the 16 things with the most votes will move on to a bracket-style tournament. A winner can be expected by October.
