Coronavirus Cases Found At 38 Wisconsin Nursing Homes: DHS
A detected case of the new coronavirus automatically triggers a facility-wide public health investigation, Wisconsin DHS said.
In Wisconsin, 38 long-term care and skilled nursing facilities are currently undergoing facility-wide public health investigations after at least one resident or staff member tested positive for the new coronavirus, the state's Department of Health Services said in a release Wednesday. A complete list of those facilities can be found below.
DHS said one positive case of COVID-19 detected among residents or staff members in a nursing home automatically triggers a facility-wide public health investigation.
In a statement, DHS said the nursing homes are following proper procedure and working with public health experts to test, protect and isolate residents to prevent the spread of infection.

“As we continue to see cases of COVID-19 in nursing homes, it is important to be transparent and list the locations where they are occurring,” DHS Secretary-designee Andrea Palm said in a statement. “We have opted to publish the names of nursing homes in order to provide peace of mind to families who cannot visit or check on their loved ones during these unprecedented times. We are grateful for all the important work that nursing homes are doing to prevent spread and the proactive steps they have taken to facilitate communication among families, loved ones and the residents in their care.”
The list of facilities with cases of COVID-19 will be updated weekly and could change as investigations start and end. The 38 facilities currently under investigation are:
