Broken Pipe Dumps Water On Treadmills In Brookfield Gym
Water from a sprinkler system soaked treadmills Tuesday at Anytime Fitness in Brookfield.
BROOKFIELD, WI—A leaking sprinkler pipe caused a soggy situation at Anytime Fitness, 2205 N. Calhoun Road, on Tuesday.
A dry pipe in the sprinkler system developed a pin-sized hole about 3:30 p.m., according to the gym's Facebook page.
After the air pressure escaped, the water from the entire building's sprinkler system emptied onto the treadmills. Five treadmills were ruined in the leak.

The rest of the gym is available and open for use, according to Anna Tiry, the owner of Anytime Fitness.
Tiry thanked the Brookfield Fire Department for helping and Karate America, another building tenant, for being supportive.
"I want to give a big thank you to Brian of PJR Properties (building owner). He was there moving treadmills with me all night," she said.
