Spraying dates and times are developed with citizen comment and weather patterns. Spraying cannot commence when temperatures are below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, winds are above 10 miles per hour, or rain is expected.

Spraying will typically start at 1 a.m. and run until 6 a.m. Sprayings can be aborted due to weather changes. Budgetary constraints also limit the number of sprayings that can be done in a calendar year.
