Burglar Takes $21K in Jewelry from Home; Might Have Hit Pewaukee
Brookfield police are investigating whether the same burglar may have also committed break-ins in Pewaukee.

A burglar pried open a Muirwood Drive home Wednesday, stealing an estimated $21,000 in jewelry, Brookfield police say.
Officers are working with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department to determine whether the same person might have been involved in break-ins in Pewaukee that occurred about the same time and in the same manner - prying open doors and windows, Capt. Jim Adlam said.
In the Brookfield home burglary, someone pried open a casement window sometime between 11:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. in the 3600 block of Muirwood Drive. The burglar crawled through the window and stole a variety of jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, rings, jewels and watches.
