WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Jury trials are starting back up at the Waukesha County Courthouse this week.

The trials, which were put on hold earlier this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, are resuming on Tuesday, county officials said.

In order to maximize the use of designated jury trial courtrooms and accommodate social distancing, the Courts will schedule the start of jury trials on multiple days per week and stagger report time for jurors.

County officials said everyone in courtrooms, and court-related confined spaces, will be required to wear face coverings, except as authorized on the record by the judge.

Other guidelines, such as appropriate sanitation, hygiene; and the availability of hand sanitizer and disinfectants are also in place, court officials said.
