• Brookfield to streamline and expedite permit processing (gmtoday.com) — Brookfield residents and contractors will be able to apply for permits and licenses online starting Jan. 2 through a new OpenGov portal, replacing much of the old paper process. The city says the system will speed approvals, improve inspection scheduling and results access, and help departments share data so decisions that affect neighborhoods and businesses are better informed.
