• Task Force goes over initial conference realignment plan (gmtoday.com) — Brookfield East could see its conference home change under a WIAA realignment plan that would shift the Greater Metro lineup and several neighboring leagues. A task force has advanced proposals affecting Brookfield Central, Brookfield East, and other suburban schools, with final decisions expected from the Board of Control in March 2026 after more review and school feedback.
   

• In Memory of Vinny Steeves: A Life Well-Lived (gmtoday.com) — Brookfield-area residents should know that inurnment for longtime Waukesha resident Vincent “Vinny” Steeves will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park on Capitol Drive in Brookfield this Saturday around 1:45 p.m. Visitation and a memorial Mass take place earlier in Waukesha, and the family suggests memorial donations to NAMI Southeast Wisconsin instead of flowers.
