Winning St. Paddy's Day Spot: Prime Cigar Bar Followed by O'Donoghue's

A cigar lounge smoked three well-known Irish pubs to take Patch's Readers' Choice award for best spot to celebrate St. Paddy's Day.

, located in the Galleria West shopping center, toked with 87 percent of the vote, well ahead of popular hot spots , and O'Donoghue's Irish Pub.

Patch's poll also included (formerly Panos) and for its St. Paddy's Day menu.

Prime Cigar's party plans

So what's Prime Cigar doing for St. Paddy's Day? Its Facebook page says it's offering "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" Guinness, "Buy 3 Get 1 Free" Gurkha cigars and a free corned beef and cabbage buffet all day (open from 11 a.m. to midnight), at 18900 W. Bluemound Rd.

Patrons can relax in leather lounge chairs and watch the March Madness NCAA tourney games on Prime Cigar's 70-inch HDTVs.

Prefer a smokeless St. Paddy's Day bash? 

O'Donoghue's Irish Pub, which finished second in Patch's Readers' Choice poll, will serve an Irish breakfast and have live music all day, including the Curtis Crossroads Band at 1 p.m., Ceol Cairde at 4:30 p.m. and Blarney at 7 p.m.

O'Donoghue's is located at 13225 Watertown Plank Rd. in Elm Grove.

O'Sullivan's Public House, which finished right behind O'Donoghue's in the poll, will give away T-shirts to the first 50 customers, according to a roundup of St. Paddy's Day events by Newsradio 620WTMJ. Bagpipers will stroll through the crowd and Guinness will be flowing.

O'Sullivan's is located at 12525 W. North Ave. in Brookfield.
