Woman's $23K Check for New Car Bounces
Brookfield police were notified Thursday that a customer had written a worthless check for a 2011 Ford Fusion.

A $23,000 check a woman wrote to buy a 2011 Ford Fusion from a Brookfield car dealership was returned to the business for insufficient funds, police reports say.
A bank notified , 18900 W. Capitol Dr., that the 56-year-old woman's check essentially bounced, according to police reports.
The dealership sent a notice letter to the woman's last known address and notified police on Thursday about potential fraud, reports say.
