All My Sons Showcased Sold Out Show at Nicolet
Final performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
All My Sons showcased last weekend before sold out audiences at and will have the final shows on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Performances are in the new Studio Theatre in the Community Room.
According to a press release by Nicolet, All My Sons was written by Arthur Miller ("Death of a Salesman") shortly after World War II. During the war, Joe Keller and Steve Deever ran a machine shop and made airplane parts for the Army. Deever was sent to prison because the firm turned out defective parts, causing the deaths of
21 pilots. Keller went free and made a fortune. The twin shadows of this catastrophe and the fact that the young Keller son was reported missing during the war dominate the action. The love affair of Chris Keller and Ann Deever, the bitterness of George Deever returned from the war to find his father in prison and his father's partner free, are all set in a structure of almost unbearable power. What really happened that day in the factory brings about the electrifying conclusion.
