Cops Called to Fox Point Nursing Home After Two Men Duke It Out

Police take no action after 71-year-old resident claims 90-year-old hit him with a wheelchair.

But this wasn't your typical fight involving a couple of young men who may have had too much to drink on the holiday.

You see, this fight took place at a local nursing home - and the culprits were 79 and 90 years old.

When officers arrived at Fox Point Manor, they found each man separated, one on each couch. The 79-year-old had cuts on his face near his right eye and his nose, according to the police report. His wheelchair was also in front of him.

The report says neither man spoke English very well, so the caregiver had to act as an interpreter. According to her translations, the 79-year-old said the 90-year-old used the wheelchair to strike him in the face.

The 90-year-old said he did hit the other man several times in the face, but with a closed fist. The report says both parties were suffering from dementia, so no arrests were made and officers reminded the 90-year-old not to strike other residents.
