Crime Corner: Stolen DVD Players, Coyotes and Smoking Near an Oxygen Tank

were called to at 8615 N. Port Washington Road for a theft on March 18, at 3:35 p.m.
Police began by interviewing the manager who said an unidentified man stole a portable Philips DVD player, valued at $168.95, from behind the photo desk. He printed survelience photographs from the security system and gave them to police, along with video footage.
The theft went undetected until a shopper alerted a Walgreens employee of a beeping noise coming from an anti-theft device, which was lying on a bottom shelf in aisle six. The anti theft device was cut from the DVD package.

- In the 9300 block of North Lake Drive, a resident reported coyotes in their backyard on March 15, around 9 a.m.
- A 72-year-old Bayside woman was given a $681 citation for disorderly conduct on March 15 for continuing to smoke while on oxygen. She was then transported to the Milwaukee County Mental Health Facility. According to officers, she has been given multiple warnings for this before.
- In the 100 block of East Fairy Chasm Road, a 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for operating while intoxicated by Bayside police on March 20, at 2:47 a.m. She was pulled over for a non-functioning tail light. The passenger, a 22-year-old Appleton man was also taken into custody when police discovered he had two oustanding warrants from Calumet County police.
