Crime Prevention Tips: Protecting Yourself at Home

We must all be reminded of the small actions we can take to protect ourselves at home.

• Lock or secure doors and windows when you are alone or asleep;
• Keep emergency numbers by your phone;
• Don’t let strangers enter your home;
• Do not prop open outer doors;
• Do not put your address on your key ring;
• Do not leave keys in hiding places.  Thieves will find them;
• Call 911 to report suspicious persons in or around your neighborhood;
