Everyone Safe After Car vs. Tree Accident in Bayside
Driver was reaching for his coffee when he slid off the road.
responded to a vehicle versus tree accident on Sunday at the intersection of North Pelham Parkway and Fairy Chasm Road.
The driver, a 61-year-old Fox Point man, told officers he was reaching for a coffee cup as it was falling and lost control of the vehicle while turning right onto Fairy Chasm. As the car slid off the roadway, it struck a tree just east of a driveway. Neither the tree, driver nor the passenger suffered any injuries.
