Fox Point Pool Gets a Small Face-Lift
Updates to the concrete deck, new doors and door frames will help keep the public pool afloat.

Hot, sweaty summer days are not as far off as it may feel and with that in mind, the Fox Point Village Board is making a few changes to the local pool.
The board voted on Tuesday to replace portions of the pool's concrete deck, door and door frames, at a cost of about $40,000.
The pool is over 40 years old and has not had any major repairs or rehabilitation since it was built in 1968. At Tuesday's meeting, Village Manager Susan Robertson explained that without these repairs, things will only get worse.

"If rehabilitation or reconstruction of the pool is not done, it will continue to deteriorate and may get to the point where basic repairs can’t keep it functioning," Robertson said. "For safety reasons, these items can’t wait until then, and need to be taken care of now."
