Man Arrested for OWI After Driving on Wrong Side of Brown Deer Road
He told police it was his birthday, so he did have a few drinks. But for this man, it was one too many.

A 25-year-old Hartland man was arrested by when he ignored a “no left turn” sign and drove the wrong way on Brown Deer Road.
Officers were parked in the parking lot watching traffic just before 3 a.m. March 24 when they saw a car make a left turn from onto Brown Deer Road. Brown Deer is divided by a concrete median however, and so the driver continued heading westbound in the eastbound lane until the officer caught up and pulled him over.
When the officer approached the car, the man asked why he was being pulled over. The officer explained he was driving on the wrong side of the road and noticed the smell of alcohol as they spoke. The man admitted he’d had a few to drink because he said it was his birthday.

He failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI. His blood alcohol content was 0.12. During the fingerprinting, he told an officer that the medication he was on “doubled the effect of alcohol.” He was cited for OWI and having a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08.
