The girls swim team season this year was very successful. At Saturday's WIAA Sectional meet at Cedarburg High School, the 200 medley relay relay team of Grace Wilkie, Sophia Jokumsen, Sarah Zelazoski, and Christa Rumbaugh set a new school records, however it wasn't fast enough to qualify for the state meet. Qualifying for state, however, were Kim Charles in diving and Christa Rumbaugh who bettered her top five board times in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
The dance team competed in their first dance competition this past weekend at the annual MSOE Raider Invitational, placing second overall in the high school pom division. In the soloist division, senior Emily Eiseman placed sixth for her lyrical routine and senior Rebecca Johnson placed second for her lyrical routine.
The boys volleyball season ended with a thrilling five game set against Germantown in front of a packed house last Thursday in the Sectional Final. The gym was full of enthusiastic fans and a great home crowd. The boys played their hearts out before losing 15-12 in the fifth and deciding game. Senior Dan Mulcahy earned first Team All-Conference Honors and was named "North Shore Conference Player of the Year." Junior Chris Sorenson was also named first Team All-Conference at Libero. Second Team All-Conference Honors went to Seniors Matt Dixon and Spencer Borneman. Honorable Mention went to Matt Bootsma, Steve Richards and Jordan Teichen.
