4 New Teachers Hired for Maple Dale-Indian Hills
School officials approved hiring four teachers, filling classrooms of veteran, retiring teachers and others shifting into new roles.

Maple Dale-Indian Hill School Board approved the hire of four new teachers Wednesday night.
The new educators will start next year, filling classrooms of , and others shifting into new roles.
Stacey Houck, eighth grade English, will take over from retiring teacher Barbara Francyzk who spent 24 years in the district. Houck brings 15 years of teaching experience to the Maple Dale, having taught English at the high school level since 1998.

Wendi Bazar-Besasie, seventh and eighth grade special education, follows retiring 42-year district veteran Annette Evans. Bazar-Besasie is currently a paraprofessional with the district in the classroom where she will teach next year.
Current Nicolet High School teacher Jeff Fishbach will teach fifth and sixth grade social studies next year. He has five years experience in his discipline and has taught at various Milwaukee area schools, including Bayside Middle School.

And, school officials approved the hire of Kyle Riesen to teach seventh and eighth grade math. He has worked as a long-term substitute teacher in that class in the past.
"We're losing some great people, but also gaining some great people," Board member Sowmya Desai said.
Riesen will move into his teaching role, as the School Board approved moving current eight grade math educator Sandy Kelm to part-time assistant director of curriculum for the 2013-14 school year.
