NSFD Report: Sprinklers, Arcing Wires and Accidents
The latest reports from the North Shore Fire Department.

The responded to a total of 134 calls for service, 97 EMS calls, and 37 fire and rescue calls from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2 throughout the North Shore.
Here is a summary of the calls from Fox Point, Bayside, Whitefish Bay and Shorewood.
Fox Point

- Wires were down around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1 in the 8500 block of North Manor Lane. The wires were arcing, so WE Energies was called and NSFD protected the scene until they arrived.
Bayside
- NSFD was called to the , 8850 N. Port Washington Rd. for a possible fire. However, they found it was only an accidental activation of the sprinkler system.
Shorewood

- At 8 p.m. Sept. 27, there was a two-car accident in the 3800 block of Oakland Avenue. There were no leaking fluids and only minor damage.
Whitefish Bay
- In the 5400 block of North Lake Drive, NSFD found power lines down at 7:43 a.m. Sept. 26. They were not arcing or sparking. A handful of homes were without power. WE Energies arrived to handle the wires.
- At 3:12 p.m. Oct. 2, a bicyclist was hit on North Lake Drive by a car. The victim was transported to the hospital.
