Photos: Students Say 'Hay' at Spiekers Pumpkin Farm

Students explore baby pumpkins, took a hay ride and learned about Indian corn.

About 40 students from took a field trip Wednesday out to Spieker's Pumpkin Farm in Random Lake.

After husking Indian corn and bravely trudging into the dark hay maze, these kids got a hay wagon ride out to the field and each picked out their own baby pumpkin. After they made their selections, some decided to trade up, others needed help because the one they picked was still well attached with a vine and others sort of dragged their prize across the ground in their pillow case.
