After Darling came to bat for Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Janesville) during his campaign to dramatically alter Medicare, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin said in a press release that Ryan is now returning the favor by shaking down contributors.
The release cites a fundraising letter from Ryan, where he touts the work of Darling and Republican Gov. Scott Walker to cut $1.6 billion from education funding, and hundreds of millions in health care.
"Alberta Darling went to bat for Paul Ryan's plans to kill Medicare as we know it, so it stands to reason that Ryan would step to the plate as Darling seeks tax cuts for the corporations and millionaires that will be paid for by Wisconsin's working families," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said.
