Officers noted in their report that multiple items in the purse had the same name, and one item had a cell phone numer on it. They called that number and the person who answered had the same name as the items within the purse. Officers told her they may have found her purse.
She explained that her purse was stolen from her locked vehicle after someone broke out a side window the previous Saturday while she was parked at Grant Park in South Milwaukee.

She reported the incident to South Milwaukee Police. When the woman came to the station, she went through the purse and discovered it was missing $350 in cash and two Wisconsin driver's licenses in her name, one expired, one current, her social security card and one of her children’s social security cards. Her other three children’s social security cards were still in the purse. She was also missing a debit card, which she had already cancelled.
However, there was also another debit card inside, and this one had someone elses' name on it. She did not know the person or where the card came from. Bayside Police contacted the owner of the other debit card and that woman’s purse was also stolen from her vehicle on the same date, but at Wilson’s park in Milwaukee near 13th St. and Howard Avenue. Someone had broken her window and stolen her purse, iPod and laptop.
