Thousands Stolen from Fox Point Woman During Shopping Trip at Mall

Her purse was never out of her site, but thief stole her credit cards and charged nearly $4,300 on them.

Keeping your purse close by can be the difference between a cheap or expensive trip to the mall.

received a complaint from a 30-year-old Fox Point woman who claims someone stole her credit and debit cards, and used them to rack up a bill of nearly $4,400.

She was at Southridge Mall in Greendale on May 31 between noon and 5:30 p.m., according to the police report. She said that the only time she used any of her credit or debit cards was in the food court at Dairy Queen and Subway. She told officers that at no other time did she remove her wallet from her purse, nor did her purse leave her possession.

At some point during the time she was at Southridge, someone had removed the small wallet from her purse and used the cards at the following stores:

  • Target, in Greenfield, for $1,800
  • Walmart, in Delafield, for $2,064.67
  • Walmart, no location in the report, for $528.20.

Police have no suspects and no one in custody at this time.
