Too Much Beer and Red Bull Leaves Man Lost in Fox Point, Looking for Waukesha
This 34-year-old Hartford man was arrested for his second OWI after having four or five beers and performing poorly on field sobriety tests.

A 34-year-old Hartford man was arrested for his second OWI offense after he was pulled over near the Appleby's Service Station in Fox Point for a suspended license. Officers were concerned he may have had taken drugs because he was noticeably twitching during their entire encounter, but the man said it wasn't exactly illegal drugs.
According to the report:
Just before 4 a.m. on May 20, a officerΒ was patrolling in the 7900 block of North Port Washington Road and did a license plate check on a passing car. The registered owner had a suspended license. The officer turned around and pulled the car over at . As soon as the officer stopped, the man got out of his car, hands in the air, and started walking toward the squad car. Police told him to go back to his car.

When the officer got to the car to speak to the man, he immediately noticed the smell of alcohol. He asked the man if heβd been drinking, and he admitted to having four or five, 12-oz. Miller Lites at a club in Milwaukee and was on his way home to Waukesha. The officer noticed the man was jittery as he spoke, his hands and legs shaking throughout their conversation. He also was speaking very fast and having trouble sitting still. He denied using any drugs and said he was shaking because he was alternating between beer and Red Bull all night.
During the walk and turn, the man completely lost his balance. His PBT was 0.144.

Due to his admission of drinking, glassy eyes and performance on the field sobriety tests, he was arrested for his second OWI and second offense prohibited alcohol concentration. He was released at 7:20 a.m. to a friend.Β His final BAC was 0.13.
