Week Ahead: Primary Election, Bats and The Cupcake Run

Who said nothing ever happens in Fox Point or Bayside — Patch certainly doesn't think so! Check out all the places to be, things to do and people to see as we look at the week ahead.

Election Day is Tuesday

From 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., voters can hit their local polling places to cast their ballot for the Democratic Primary race. Among others are the two gubernatorial candidates, and

Here are the polling places in Fox Point and Bayside:

• Bayside residents can vote at , 601 E. Ellsworth Ln. Please use the Standish Place entrance.

• Fox Point residents can vote at either the , 7300 N. Santa Monica Blvd., or the Longacre Pavilion, 7343 N. Longacre Rd.

Check Out the Bats at SANC Wednesday

Join biologist Bill Mueller from the Western Great Lakes Bird and Bat Observatory for a program on bat ecology and monitoring at the Wednesday at 7 p.m. Learn about Wisconsin's bat species, their ecology, and threats to their populations. Weather permitting, participants will go on a “bat walk” to learn the use of the unit, and learn information on how to get involved as a volunteer. 

Third Annual Cupcake Run Saturday

The Cupcake Run begins at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at 

This annual fundraiser features an expo with many local businesses like , Libby Montana's,  and Fox Point-Bayside Patch handing out goodies. There's also a raffle for many different gift cards and certificates. Tickets are $3 each, four for $10 and 10 for $20 dollars. The winners will be announced at 10:30 a.m.
