Week Ahead: Bayside Board Meeting, Election Day and a Passover Event

Election Day Tuesday

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 3. Here are the polling places in Fox Point and Bayside:

  • Bayside residents can vote at , 601 E. Ellsworth Ln. Please use the Standish Place entrance.
  • Fox Point residents can vote at either the , 7300 N. Santa Monica Blvd., or the Longacre Pavilion, 7343 N. Longacre Rd.

If you're not sure where to vote or whether you're registered, check out the state's Voter Public Access web site. You also can find a sample ballot on the site.

Bayside Village Board Meeting Tuesday

The Bayside Committee of the Whole will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday for their regular board meeting, following immediately by the Board of Trustees meeting at 

The board is slated to discuss delegating a Public Safety Telecommunicator Week, a change in parking ticket fees and the deer management program among other things.

Burning of Levened Bread in Honor of Passover Friday

It's not a pairing you see every day: a fire department mostly filled with Christian men pairing with Jewish synagogues for a religious ceremony.

The will host an official bi'ur chametz, or burning of leavened bread, in honor of Passover from 10 to 11:45 a.m. on Friday at NSFD Station 2 in Glendale, 5901 N. Milwaukee River Pkwy.
