GREEN BAY, WI — The Aaron Jones era in Green Bay is over. Let the Josh Jacobs era begin.

The Packers are expected to sign the former Las Vegas Raiders runningback to replace Jones, who they released Monday to free agency, according to multiple reports including NFL Networks' Ian Rapoport.

Jacobs, 26, is a former first-round pick. He led the NFL in both rushing and scrimmage yards in 2022 and was named a first-team All-Pro. But his production fell to a career low in an injury-plagued 2023, recording just 3.5 yards per carry.
