Caller Concerned About Phone Conversation After Dog Euthanized, Logs Say

A man told Greendale Police that he had concerns about a conversation he heard between his mother and brother over the phone on Feb. 22, logs say.

He told police his brother was upset and placing the blame on him after his dog was euthanized. He told police he overheard a threat about him when he was still on the phone with his mother. Logs say the conversation happened in a room separate from the phone behind a door.

The man had asked police to cite his brother and his brother's roommate, but police told him there was no violation, according to logs.

Man Takes $182 Of Merchandise From Shoe Carnival

Employees at the location told police a man came in and took merchandise from the Shoe Carnival at 5493 76th Street before leaving in a grey Ford Focus around 6 p.m. on Feb. 22, logs said.

The suspect was described as a 5' 8" white man weighing 150 pounds wearing a red Arizona Diamondbacks hat, black-framed eyeglasses, a surgical mask, a grey quarter-zip sweater, black pants and white shoes, logs said. The suspect left the scene northbound through the plaza lot, logs said.

Man Arrested On Domestic Violence After Food Court Incident

A woman told police the father of her child yelled and slapped her in the food court at 5300 76th Street on Feb. 20 around 1 p.m., logs said.

The information came to Greendale police in a call transferred from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office. The victim told police the man had fled after the assault, possibly on a bus, according to logs.

A man was arrested for domestic violence and a 72-hour no-contact order was enforced after the incident, logs said.

Woman Arrested For OWI-Refusal

A woman was stopped by police in her car near 76th and Edgerton around 2 a.m. on Feb. 20 for expired tags, logs said. She refused to take a breath test, logs show, and was arrested for OWI 1st-refusal. The woman was cited and released, logs said.

Arrested For Drug Paraphernalia After Retail Theft

A man was arrested for retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after TJMaxx on 5200 76th Street reported the theft, logs said. The man was cited and released, logs said.
