• Milwaukee County EMS blood transfusion program looks to expand (spectrumnews1.com) — Greendale residents should know their fire department is now among seven in Milwaukee County equipped to give life-saving whole blood transfusions before patients reach the hospital. In the program’s first year, 38 people, including children, received transfusions en route, and county officials plan to expand the effort further to protect more local residents from severe bleeding emergencies.
