Adult 'Speaking In Tongues' Arrested, Limping Bobcat: GPD Logs

Greendale Police Department arrested someone at the mall who was 'speaking in tongues' and denied a resident's request to shoot a bobcat.

GREENDALE, WI β€” Recently the Greendale Police Department arrested an adult woman at the mall after she was "chanting vulgarities" and "speaking in tongues," had a resident ask for permission to shoot an injured bobcat and more.

Out of the 290 calls for service, Greendale Police Department arrested or signed bonds for 4 people and issued 67 citations.

Woman Arrested After Mall Altercation

A woman was arrested inside the mall after she fought security guards, yelled and chanted vulgarities and "spoke in tongues," according to the Greendale Police Department.

The woman was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Request To Shoot Injured Animal

A resident witnessed a bobcat limping down 68th Street in Greendale and reported it to police. According to police, the resident asked for permission to shoot the animal.

"Permission denied," the police log said. An officer searched around the area for the animal but was unable to locate it.

Outdoor Screen Time

A resident reported that someone was sitting under a nearby tree for the past five hours. Police investigated and found the person was OK, and that he was watching videos on his phone, according to police logs.

Pursuit Down 51st Street

Police chased a stolen Hyundai down 51st Street. The car had been running stop signs and speeding. The officer stopped pursuit of the vehicle and the matter was handed off to the Milwaukee Police Department, according to police logs.

Driveway Altercation

A resident reported that a woman had parked her car in his driveway, took a photo of him and yelled "You're being investigated." Police told the woman to move her car and to not return.
