GREENDALE, WI β An apartment in Greendale that was used as a group home has been deemed uninhabitable for the near future after a fire broke out in its basement on Jan. 7, according to Greendale Police logs.
The fire, which occurred on 7100 Euston Street, originated in the building's storage unit. It was extinguished by fire personnel and an investigation is pending, police logs said.

Seeking Battery Charges And Theft
A caller told 911 their ex-boyfriend showed up at their place of work on 5300 South 76th Street on Jan. 8. The caller said the ex punched them in the face and took their phone. The suspect left prior to officers' arrival, logs said.

Police logs say charges of battery and theft are being sought.
Verbal Fight After Quitting Walmart
After quitting, a former employee began to yell and swear at management staff as they were leaving, causing a disturbance to customers at the Walmart at 5301 South 76th Street on Jan. 8, police logs said.
The person was cited for disorderly conduct, logs said.
Man Arrested After Being Seen Unresponsive At Business
Two 911 calls filtered in on Jan. 9 about a man being unresponsive in a van at a business on 5800 Broad Street, logs said.
Police and firefighters brought him to St. Luke's Hospital and he was arrested for fifth offense operating while intoxicated, according to police logs.
Police Investigating Battery Allegation At Assisted Living Facility
A man told Greendale police that his wifeβwho is paralyzed and uses a wheelchairβwas struck several times by an assisted living employee at a facility in Greendale on Jan. 9, logs said. An investigation is pending, logs said.
Truck Fire
A truck fire on Dawson Court caused minor damage to a home's garage door and siding on Monday morning, logs said.
Car Damaged In Hit And Run, No Reported Injuries
A caller told police that another driver hit their car and started to leave the scene at a parking lot on 5300 South 76th Street on Monday, logs said.
The suspect vehicle was located and towed, and the driver was arrested for hit and run occupied vehicle, police logs said.
Police Break Up Fight
Police responded to a call about two groups of people arguing in a parking lot at 5300 South 76th Street on Monday. Greendale Police requested police aid from Hales Corners and Greenfield after seeing multiple people fighting in the parking lot, logs said.
One man was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, two men were arrested for disorderly conduct and battery. Citations were issued to three people for underage intoxicants, logs said.
Tires Stolen From Door Step
A resident told police that tires he ordered were stolen from his doorstep on 4300 Ramsey Avenue on Wednesday, logs said. The shipping company confirmed delivery was made, and a witness told police he saw three people running out of the front door of the building complex with tires around 12:30 p.m.
