Greendale High School Names 2022 Valedictorians Ahead Of Graduation

Five Greendale High School students will be honored at their graduation for attaining a 4.0 cumulative grade point average.

GREENDALE, WI β€” Five Greendale High School students from the school's 2022 graduating class are valedictorians, the Greendale School District announced Wednesday in a news release.

The students earned cumulative grade point averages of 4.0 and will be recognized at Greendale High School's commencement ceremony on June 11. The five students were selected for the ranking out of 242 students graduating in 2022, according to the news release.

  • Elise Allen, who is expected to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to study nursing in the fall.
  • Michael Lemke, who is expected to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study accounting in the fall.
  • Emily Ploszay, who is expected to attend Marquette University to study biomedical sciences in the school's pre-physician assistant studies program.
  • Megan Volkening, who is expected to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study electrical engineering with plans to earn a certificate in energy sustainability for engineers.
  • Leah Widlarz, who is expected to study mathematics education at St. Norbert College in the fall.

Greendale High School's graduation ceremony is happening at 11 a.m. in Steven J. Gavinski Stadium at the school's campus, located at 6801 Southway.
