Macy's Plans To Open In-Store Toys 'R' Us In Greendale
Department store Macy's on Monday announced a new partnership that will bring Toys "R" Us sections to every location across the country.

GREENDALE, WI β Department store chain Macy's plans on bringing a new ToysβRβUs section to its locations across the nation by the end of 2022, including Greendale, the company announced in a news release Monday.
The plans call for several flagship locations to have the largest in-store sections. The closest flagship store for us in Wisconsin will be in Chicago. For the Macy's locations at Southridge Mall and Mayfair Mall, patrons can expect a 1000-square-foot in-store Toys "R" Us section. Possibly even larger, the company said 1000 square feet is the bottom of the size range, and the footprint may change during the holiday season.
In Greendale, Macy's is located at 5300 South 76th Street.

Plans are to unveil the shops starting in July, with each location open by mid-October and an eventual celebration. The department stores plan on bringing the toy store brand to life "with playful colored fixtures as well as hands-on demonstration tables for customers," the news release said.
Prior to its resurrection into physical Macy's locations, the Toys "R" Us brand was maintained through the department store's online presence since August of 2021, according to the news release. In the news release, Macy's touted a 15 times increase in toy sales when comparing the first quarter of 2022 to before the online adoption of the toy store brand.
