Man At Mall Distraught About Bus Routes Yelled At Cars: GPD Logs

GREENDALE, WI — Here are Greendale Police Department's notable calls of the week: A man was distraught about recent bus route changes near Southridge Mall, a person fled police while forgetting he already gave police his information and more.

Out of 272 calls for service Aug. 25-31, the department arrested four people, signed two bonds and wrote 65 citations.

Man Yells At Cars In Macy's Parking Lot

Bus route changes can be stressful occasions. Temporary re-routing, bus stop changes and other inconveniences leave many commuters with headaches.

For one man in Greendale, the recent bus route changes from Milwaukee County Transportation System caused just that: anguish. Greendale Police Department reported a man was recently walking and shouting around cars in the Macy's parking lot at Southridge Mall.

He was "emotionally disturbed" by the bus route changes, GPD said in the log.

The changes took place at the beginning of the month. MCTS retired Route 64, but Route 60, 55 and 76 have been altered to pick up the slack. Read about Greendale bus route changes here.

Here's the department's other recent notable activity:

• A person recieved threatening messages which were determined to be a scam.
• A man was pulled over for speeding. He fled the scene before police wrapped everything up, however, he already gave police his ID. His citations were mailed to his address.
• A woman was cited for public urination after her vehicle was parked on the DPW lawn.
