Milk Can Diner Opening 'Finally In Sight' After Challenging Year
The opening of Greendale's Milk Can Diner is getting closer after a year of challenges.

GREENDALE, WI β After months of delay and challenges, the opening of downtown Greendale's Milk Can Diner is "finally in sight!" the business posted on Facebook last week.
A date wasn't specified in the post, but the spot's opening is getting visibly closer. New signs for the diner went up at 5636 Broad Street in August, Milwaukee Magazine reported.
The original opening was slated for April 2021, but that date came and went and the spot has remained under construction. The recent post from the diner affirms the Greendale opening is near and gives reason for the delays.

The past year brought challenges on numerous fronts for the diner. Persistent labor shortages, commodity price inflation, product and equipment availability issues all have impacted Milk Can Diner's existing restaurants in Muskego as well as the construction at the Greendale location, the business said in a Facebook post.
The diner will open in the downtown Greendale space formerly inhabited by Ferch's Malt Shoppe. The restaurant's menu for the Muskego location gravitates around hamburgers and frozen custard, but other options like chicken, soup, sandwiches, salads and more are advertised.
