New Village Manager Appointed For Greendale
Michael Hawes has been selected as the new village manager for Greendale, the village announced Tuesday in a news release.

GREENDALE, WI β Michael Hawes has been appointed as the new Village Manager, the Village of Greendale announced Tuesday in a news release. His first day is slated as April 25.
The previous manager, Todd Michaels, served in village roles for 24 years before he announced his retirement. A nationwide search was conducted to find his replacement, and Hawes was selected during a special Village Board meeting on March 18, the news release said.
βI am extremely excited to get to work with the Village Board, staff and community members of Greendale,β said Hawes in the news release. βGreendale is an outstanding community and I feel honored to serve as its next village manager.β

Hawes' background includes 15 years of experience in local governments, including several as a municipal administrator in Union Grove and Wind Point, the village's news release says. He lives with his family in Kenosha.
"Mr. Hawes competed with the other candidates and emerged as the best fit for Greendale," said Village President Jason Cyborowski in the news release.
