Police Investigate Bicycle Accident, Missing Person Found In Jail

GREENDALE, WI β€” A woman who was reported missing from Greendale was discovered to actually be in jail, a bicyclist told police he was hit by a car in Greendale, a man told police his ex was attempting to track him and more.

Bicyclist Hit On College Avenue And 51st Street

A bicyclist told police he was hit by a car when riding in Greendale on Oct. 29. He said a newer Cadillac SUV hit him from behind with what he thought was the side mirror. The bicyclist said he fell to the ground and the SUV left the scene, call logs show.

Man Reports Apple Air Tag

A man told police Thursday his ex placed an Apple Air Tag tracking device on his vehicle. Police said they tried to speak with the woman who was accused of placing the device, but she refused, according to call logs.

The man gave the tracking device to police and a case is planned to be sent to the DA for review, call logs said.

Man Reports Wife Missing

A call was transferred from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office over to Greendale Police on Tuesday. The caller said his wife went to go visit their son but she did not come back. He said he was concerned and that she was not replying to texts, call logs said.

The caller later told police he located her in the Waukesha County Jail.

Man Arrested During Traffic Stop

Police logs said a man was pulled over near Maplewood Court and 51st Street on Tuesday. Call logs said police found over 40 grams of THC. Charges were referred to the district attorney.

Retail Theft

At least four people were taken into custody this week in connection with retail theft.

Police said one man was found near Macy's on 5400 76th Street walking toward Berkshire with merchandise in his hands on Monday. He was arrested after a foot chase, call logs said.

Three females were reported by Macy's loss prevention on Oct. 30. Police were told the females stole merchandise and were headed toward Berkshire. Police searched the area and a pedestrian told them they saw the females getting into a car. The car was spotted on Grange Avenue. According to call logs, police arrested the three in connection with the earlier retail theft.
