A Voter Guide For The Greendale School Board 2022 Primary

GREENDALE, WI — Residents of Greendale have already been able to cast their ballots in the upcoming Feb. 15 primary election for the Greendale School Board.

Six candidates are vying for the chance to progress to the general election in spring. Voting on election day will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

Greendale recently changed its polling places. The Village now has two places residents are assigned to vote. To check what ward you live in and where your polling place will be, see this map or check your address on myvote.wi.gov.

Voting On Election Day

Greendale has two polling places, a reduction over previous elections. You must bring a valid form of ID to vote and/or to register on election day.

If you live east of Loomis Road, you will vote at Highland View Elementary School, located at 5900 South 51st Street.

If you live west of Loomis Road, you will vote at Greendale High School, located at 6801 Southway.

Wisconsin has same-day voter registration, so if you aren't registered ahead of the election, you can do so at the polling site. You would need to register if your address or name has changed since the last election you voted in. To register, you also need proof of your address.

Wisconsin residents must have a current and valid form of ID and proof of address to register to vote. Click here to view what counts as proof of address.

Voting Early Or By Absentee Ballot

In-person early absentee voting has begun and will end Feb. 11. You can vote early at Village Hall, located at 6500 Northway, through the rest of this week during regular hours: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

The U.S. Postal Service has advised you should give your ballot seven days for mailing if that's the plan, according to my.vote.wi.gov, so you'll likely want to deliver your ballot back to the clerk by hand.
