GREENDALE, WI β€” A woman spat at Greendale Police Department officers and threatened their families as she was being arrested, police said. The Department also recently saw speeders and a man passed out at a stoplight, according to recent police call logs.

During the first week of September, Greendale Police officers handled 250 calls. They issued 68 citations and arrested 6 people. Here are the highlights from those logs:

Retail Thief Left Behind, Arrested

Police were called to a retail theft the first week of September. The suspect vehicle fled the sceneβ€”Police followed, but called off the chase about half a mile into it, according to call logs.

One woman was left behind as the vehicle fled.

Police say she was arrested on warrants. According to police, the woman spat at and made threats to harm officers and their families during the arrest.

Here's what else was going on:

  • Officers found two people kayaking on Scout Lake at 2 a.m. one night. The late-night kayakers were informed of the park's hours.
  • A vehicle was pulled over for going 82 mph. In a separate traffic stop, a car was pulled over for going 92 mph.
  • A man was cited for operating while intoxicated. Police say they found him stopped at a traffic light for an excessive amount of time. The man had a blood-alcohol level of .18, more than twice the legal limit. He was arrested.
