• One dead in Town of Hudson fire (hudsonstarobserver.com) — A person died after a single-family home in the Town of Hudson was found fully engulfed in flames on Wert Road in the early hours of Dec. 11. Hudson firefighters, aided by several neighboring departments, knocked down the blaze but could not safely enter until the structure was stabilized, when they located the lone occupant deceased. State and county authorities are investigating the cause.
