DECA developed the SBE Certification Program to help students demonstrate their classroom learning in a hands-on, realistic environment preparing them for the transition from school to work or college. The program provides enterprises with standards for model school store operation. A DECA review committee determines if a school store is certified with a bronze, silver or gold designation.
DECA is a career and technical student organization preparing its membership for careers in marketing, management, finance and hospitality. It has nearly 175,000 members nationwide. There are 101 students involved in Hamilton’s DECA Chapter.
