Menomonee Falls police search for hit-and-run driver (wisn.com) — Menomonee Falls police are asking residents to help locate a black Mazda 3 with California plate 30773E2 after a New Year’s Day hit-and-run near County Line Road and Appleton Avenue. The car allegedly ran a red light, hit another vehicle, and continued east on County Line Road. Anyone with information is urged to call Menomonee Falls police or submit an anonymous tip to Waukesha County Crime Stoppers.
   

2. US regulators approve Wegovy pill for weight loss - The Philadelphia Sunday Sun (philasun.com) — A Menomonee Falls pediatric lung doctor who joined a Wegovy pill trial and lost about 40 pounds offers a local glimpse into the newly approved oral weight-loss drug. Federal regulators have cleared this daily pill version of Wegovy, which could broaden access to obesity treatment, though questions remain about long-term costs, insurance coverage, and whether people will prefer pills or injections.
   

3. Ex-Badger Julius Davis part of thrilling FCS title win (jsonline.com) — Menomonee Falls sports fans have a new national champion to cheer: hometown and Menomonee Falls High School alum Julius Davis helped Montana State capture the FCS football title in an overtime thriller. Davis capped a 1,100-yard rushing season by contributing key carries in the extra period, while several other Wisconsin natives also played big roles for both teams.
   

4. YMCA of Greater Waukesha County receives Lombardi Cancer grant (gmtoday.com) — Menomonee Falls families touched by childhood cancer may see expanded support thanks to a new grant backing the Youth Strong program, sponsored by Ascension Wisconsin Menomonee Falls Greenfield. The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County will use Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation funding to grow free wellness, exercise, and social programs that help young survivors and their families rebuild strength and confidence after treatment.
