14-Year-Old Among Weekend Shooting Victims In Milwaukee
A 24-year-old also died from a gunshot, police said.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Police in Milwaukee are investigating four Saturday shootings that left two people dead. The victims were a 14-year-old girl and 24-year-old woman.
The first shooting happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of N. 11th Street. In a news release, police said a group of friends were riding in a car when gunshots rang out and a 14-year-old girl in the back seat was struck.
The girl was rushed to a local hospital where she died from her injuries, police said. The shooter remains unknown.

Another deadly shooting happened only 20 minutes later in the 2900 block of N. 76th Street. Police said a 25-year-old man was fighting with his 24-year-old girlfriend when he brandished and fired a gun.
The woman was struck by a bullet and taken to a nearby hospital. There, she died from her injury.

The suspect has been arrested, police said. Investigators believed alcohol played a factor in the fight and subsequent shooting.
Another 20 minutes later, around 2:40 a.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in the 2700 block of N. 28th Street. The man, who had non-life threatening injuries, was treated at a nearby hospital.
Also, around 11:29 p.m., a 41-year-old man was shot during a robbery in the 2800 block of W. Atkinson. Police said the man was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
A 39-year-old man was robbed in the same incident but not shot, police said.
