2 Officers Taken To Hospital After Altercation During Arrest: Milwaukee Police
A man wanted in connection with an armed robbery was also brought to a hospital as a precaution and charges are pending, police said.

MILWAUKEE — Two officers were taken to a hospital after an altercation with a man who resisted being arrested in connection with an armed robbery, according to Milwaukee police.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. Saturday after officers responded to North 45th Street and West Custer Avenue for a report of an armed robbery, police said. The officers saw the suspect in the 4100 block of West Villard Avenue and tried to take the man into custody but the 20-year-old from Milwaukee resisted, tried to flee and refused orders to surrender, according to police.
The man was eventually taken into custody and a handgun was recovered, police said. Two officers suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and were taken to a hospital, according to police. The man was brought to a hospital as a precaution and charges are pending, police said.
