Officers Shot And Killed Man Following Milwaukee Pursuit
Police say a 23-year-old man got out of his car, pointed his handgun on pursuing officers, and began firing at them.
MILWAUKEE, WI — A 23-year-old Milwaukee man has been shot and killed after police say he exchanged gunfire with Milwaukee police. Three Milwaukee police officers opened fire on the man, killing him, police said.
According to Milwaukee Police, an officer on patrol noticed that the 23-year-old driver had been driving recklessly near N. 47th Street and Hampton Ave. Sunday night at about 8 p.m. Police attempted to pull him over, however he tried driving away from police, resulting in a short pursuit.
Police said the man hit a light pole, and tried running away. He got out of his car, pointed his handgun on pursuing officers, and began firing at them.

According to Milwaukee Police, three officers returned fire. The 23-year-old was hit by that gunfire, and was rushed to the hospital with serious injures. At just before 11 p.m., he died at the hospital.
Authorities reported finding the man's gun at the scene of the shooting. Authorities from Wauwatosa are leading the investigation, police said.
