Living in Milwaukee’s Avenues West and studying at Milwaukee Area Technical College, she’s inviting local foster youth and allies to monthly meetings at Wellpoint Care Network to get involved.
   

2. Here's Why Milwaukee Elections are Always Viewed with Suspicion (milwaukeecourieronline.com) — Milwaukee’s election workers and voters are under intense statewide scrutiny, with every minor mistake at the city’s central count facility fueling conspiracy theories and partisan attacks. The story explains how past administrative errors, racial dynamics, and Wisconsin’s absentee ballot laws combine to make Milwaukee a constant target, even as similar or worse mistakes elsewhere draw far less attention.
   

3. County Executive David Crowley Signs Legislation Approving MCTS Service Plan that Maintains Public Transit Services for Workers, Students, and the Community (milwaukeecourieronline.com) — Milwaukee County riders can expect all current MCTS bus routes to remain in place for 2026, after County Executive David Crowley signed a service plan that avoids six route eliminations. City of Milwaukee Christmas tree collection begins (wisn.com) — Milwaukee’s Department of Public Works has started curbside and alley pickup of real Christmas trees, which will be shredded and composted through Jan. 31. Residents must remove all decorations and stands, and can also drop trees at city Drop Off Centers, while artificial trees and most wreaths should go out with regular garbage.
   

5. Car stolen in Milwaukee on Christmas Eve gets into fiery Christmas Day crash (wisn.com) — A Milwaukee mother’s car, stolen from her driveway on Christmas Eve, was later involved in a fiery Christmas Day crash near 68th and Fiebrantz that sent three young adults to the hospital. Police say the injured suspects, now under arrest, are believed to have stolen the vehicle and ransacked two other family cars near 27th and State streets.
