5K Walk And Run, Art And Food For Bronzeville Week: Calendar

Here's the schedule for seven days of events in the Milwaukee neighborhood.

MILWAUKEE, WI — The Bronzeville neighborhood will host an arts and culture celebration for seven days starting Saturday.

The first event is the HaRUNbee 5K Walk/Run for Healthy Birth Outcomes at 7 a.m. The celebration will continue until Aug. 14.

Bronzeville was the primary African American economic and social hub between the early 1900s and the 1960s, the city website said.

Saturday

  • HaRUNbee 5K Walk and Run, 7 a.m. registrations and 8:30 a.m. start.
  • Well mommy and baby care package drive-up, 1-3 p.m.
  • Brunch in Bronzeville, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday

  • Brunch in Bronzeville, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Rooted in Culture at Maranta Plant Shop, 4 p.m.

Aug. 13:

  • Bronzeville Black Friday music and marketplace, 5-10 p.m.

Aug. 14:

  • Bronzeville ride, 10 a.m.
  • Bronzeville art walk, 12-5 p.m.
