Air Quality Advisory Issued For 8 WI Counties: WI DNR

MILWAUKEE, WI — An air quality advisory for ozone is in effect for eight Wisconsin counties until 11 p.m. Thursday.

The advisory is in effect for Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Kewaunee and Door, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources said.

The air quality index is going to be unhealthy for sensitive groups like children, elderly people and people with cardiac or respiratory problems, the National Weather Service said. These groups should avoid being outdoors for too long, the service said.

Here is the weather forecast for the next three days:

Tonight: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind around 5 mph.
